1 Production Film Co. was founded by Producer Lee Lieh in 2007. It is the first emerging stock company focusing on film production in Taiwan that is dedicated to high film quality and creative and meaningful works. Its produced works includes “Orz Boyz!” which was nominated for 4 awards at Golden Horse Awards (GHA) and won Best Supporting Actress. The Blockbuster film “Monga” produced for Lunar New Year 2010 was a break-through among Taiwanese films distributed in Lunar New Year seasons for more than a decade, nominated for domestic and foreign film awards, and the lead actor, Ethan Ruan, won GHA’s Best Leading Actor. “Jump Ashin!” produced in 2011 narrating a real-life inspired story has touched audiences across Taiwan with fervent spirit deeply ingrained in their hearts, set off a trend of “jump” in the summer of 2011, and was nominated for 4 awards at GHA. “Zone Pro Site”, a local hilarious comedy produced in 2013, combining elements of food, family, and love, achieved high box office performance of more than 300 million NT dollars. In 2017, the team of “Zone Pro Site” produced “The Village of No Return” with a lavish budget and many well-known actors and actresses in its cast, which became an extraordinary Lunar New Year blockbuster in ancient costume in Taiwan movie history. In 2019, 1 Production Film launched much anticipated adaptation film “Detention” from a globally bestselling video game that achieved box office earnings of 260 million NT dollars, which was nominated for 12 awards, and won 5 awards.
In 2020, “My Missing Valentine” won 5 awards, including Best Narrative Feature, as well as nomination for 11 awards at GHA. In the same, year, “City of Lost Things” won GHA’s Best Animated Feature.
1 Production Film’s invested film “Miss Shampoo” released on July 28, 2023, and invested TV series, including “The Oracle Comes” and “GATAO TV series” has been scheduled to be launched on Netflix in 2024. We assisted CJ Entertainment and Showbox in shooting Korean films “The Spy Gone North” and “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” in Taiwan. We also assisted an American company in shooting “Love in Taipei” in Taiwan, which is distributed by Lionsgate and now streaming on Paramount+.
